Experimental heat transfer studies on copper nanofluids in a plate heat exchanger

The objective of the present work is to study influence copper nanoparticle concentration on heat transfer performance a mixed base fluid. In study, nanoparticles in ethylene glycol (eg) + propylene (pg) water (W) fluid was analyzed chevron- type plate exchanger. sol-gel method used prepare (100 nm), dispersed two different fluids volume fractions 5%EG 5%PG 90%W and 15%EG 80%W. Experiments were performed by varying from 0.2 1.0 vol.%. Three hot inlet temperatures (55, 65 75 ?C). It revealed that rate increased significantly with Result shows at ?C, 9 14.9% enhancement Nusselt number obtained for 80%W fluid, respectively, 1%.
